Welcome to Q3 2024: Exciting Updates from Alii

We are pleased to share several key initiatives and updates we have completed and will be working on over the next quarter. These initiatives aim to further enhance product security, performance, and overall user experience.

One of our major projects has been the transition from our current SSO solution, PingOne, to a more seamless and efficient platform. This upgrade is designed to provide a smoother and more robust login experience for all users. 

Additionally, we've made significant feature improvements to our staff reimbursement module, ensuring a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing the usability and functionality of our platform.

We are also excited to announce the initiation of a project to obtain ISO27001 certification. This is a significant step in strengthening our security framework and reaffirming our dedication to information security.

Our journey this year has been marked by the addition of numerous new clients nationwide, showcasing the trust and value we consistently aim to provide.

Exciting Enhancements and Features

We've introduced several key updates to enhance your experience with Alii:  

Settings Audit Trail: The Settings Audit Trail displays any changes made to your Alii settings including the action performed, at what time and by which user.

Auditor Access: A new "Auditor Access" permission allows designated users to view all invoices in queues and pipelines without the ability to make any changes

User Permissions Report: A comprehensive User Permissions report is now available, detailing all assigned user permissions and access levels

New Single Sign-On (SSO) Solution

We are excited to announce the integration of a new Single Sign-On (SSO) solution, offering significant improvements over our previous system. By upgrading to the latest Google SSO system, Firebase, we can provide a more efficient login experience for our users and enhance log in security. With this new solution, users will receive their own subdomain, enhancing personalisation.

Streamline Staff Reimbursements

We have introduced recent updates to the expense claims feature to further streamline staff reimbursements, making the process more efficient and user-friendly. Here are the key enhancements:

Manage Expense Claim Notifications: Expense claim notifications can now be managed directly in your notification settings. This feature gives you more control over how and when you receive updates related to expense claims

BSB/Account Show/Hide: This update allows expense claims to completely mask the reimbursement BSB and account numbers, ensuring a greater level of security for staff. Admins and super users can set this up, once configured it will apply to all users.  

Subtotals: Expense claims now display subtotals for line items. This enhancement improves transparency and clarity in expense reporting, making it easier to understand and review submitted claims

Customer Support

Updates to the KB we are always expanding our knowledge base as well as keeping it up to date, if a user has created an Alii Support Account they can subscribe to KB articles to get updates on any changes we make

We are always expanding our knowledge base library and adding new articles on the latest and greatest from Alii. If you have an Alii Support account, you can subscribe to knowledge base articles to be updated on changes and advances on features you are most interested in.

Keep an eye out for new updates from our Customer Success Team

We've launched an exciting new email series called "Feature Focus," dedicated to highlighting the various features of Alii. Each month, you'll receive an email featuring a detailed exploration of a specific Alii feature. These emails will also be added to our Knowledge Base for easy reference.  

As part of this series, each email will include an insightful video presentation by your Customer Success Manager, Eileen Hayes. Eileen will provide in-depth explanations and practical tips to help you make the most out of Alii's capabilities. Stay tuned for these valuable updates to enhance your experience and knowledge of Alii!

Alii on the Road

This quarter, our team had the privilege of participating in several significant events that have enriched our knowledge and network. We attended the EREA Business Managers Conference as well as two ASBA-run conferences held in Victoria and Queensland, each offering valuable perspectives and networking opportunities within our field.  

We will be attending many more conferences over the next half of the year and our team are eagerly looking forward to catching up in person at what will be fantastic events.

New Starters

This quarter we have welcomed two new team members to our Product and Development department. Please join me in welcoming Thomas our newest Software Engineer and Alex our new Full Stack Engineer. Thomas and Alex will be working behind the scenes further enhancing the Alii platform and making exciting updates to support our ever-growing Alii user community.
