Introducing Our New Logo, Built Around People

April 20, 2026

We’ve introduced a new logo for Alii. It’s not a dramatic shift, and it’s not meant to be. It’s a thoughtful update that reflects how the business has grown and what we’ve come to understand more deeply over time. Alii is built to simplify accounts payable. To streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and help protect businesses from risk and fraud. It’s about creating clarity, improving flow, and making the work easier to manage so teams can move with confidence.

As we’ve spent more time alongside the people using Alii every day, that clarity has only deepened. What sits at the centre of all of this isn’t just process. It’s people. That’s been true from the very beginning and is a big part of why we built Alii in the first place. Behind every workflow are people working together, making decisions, and keeping things moving. This update is about bringing that to the forefront, expressing it more clearly in the brand, and reflecting the human side of accounts payable in a way that feels simple, confident, and true to how the work really happens.

AP Is About People

AP is often framed as a process problem, something to automate, streamline, or optimise. But in practice, it’s people interacting with other people all day. It’s finance teams working through queues, following up, and keeping things moving. It’s suppliers sending emails, waiting on answers, and trying to understand where things stand. It’s approvers fitting decisions into already busy days, often without full context. What actually drives progress are the conversations, handovers, and small moments where someone moves something forward or where things stall because they can’t.

That’s the real shape of AP. Not a straight-through process, but a network of people working together, sometimes smoothly and sometimes with friction, but always dependent on connection and clarity.

The Thinking Behind the Logo

When we revisited the logo, we kept coming back to the idea of connection. Not as something abstract, but as something that sits at the centre of how the work actually happens. The two “i”s in Alii represent two people, side by side. That simple idea runs through everything. Work moves between people. Context is shared between people. Progress happens because people connect, understand each other, and move things forward together. At its best, AP has a natural rhythm, where work flows, decisions happen, and momentum builds because people are aligned and informed.

That connection between people is where the real value sits. While many systems focus purely on automation, our view is a little different. It’s the flow between people that keeps things moving and gives the work its momentum. The logo is a simple way of making that visible, embedding people, connection, and flow directly into the name itself.

Built on Connection

Alii comes from alliance, and that idea has always been about people working together. In reality, most friction in AP doesn’t come from a lack of tools. It comes from people being out of sync. Someone doesn’t have the context they need. Someone else is waiting on an answer. A supplier doesn’t know what’s happening. A finance team lacks visibility.

These are small gaps, but they compound quickly. Our role is to close them and help people stay aligned, understand what’s happening, and move work forward without unnecessary friction.

Where Technology Fits

Alii is built as software first, designed specifically for how finance teams actually work. The focus is on reducing friction across the full AP lifecycle, from invoice capture and data extraction through to coding, approval, and payment, while keeping everything connected, visible, and easy to act on within a single platform.

AI is embedded throughout Alii, but it isn’t the headline. It supports invoice capture and data extraction, helps route approvals, surfaces exceptions, and flags anomalies that may indicate risk or fraud. It works quietly in the background, reducing manual handling and highlighting what needs attention without interrupting the flow of work.

The intent isn’t to take people out of AP. It’s to give finance teams better control and clarity, so they spend less time chasing invoices, resolving discrepancies, or managing process gaps, and more time applying judgment where it matters. When Alii takes care of the repetitive and predictable, teams can focus on decisions, relationships, and keeping the business moving forward.

A More Human Brand

We automate AP to remove manual effort and mitigating fraud risks, while making a conscious choice to keep the human side of the work visible, because that’s what actually matters.

You’ll see that reflected in the brand through more flexibility, more vibrant colour, and the introduction of hand-drawn elements. The kind you’d normally see when someone is working through something on paper. Scribbles in the margins, circles around numbers, quick underlines, half-formed notes.

These aren’t decorative. They reflect how people think and review their work by marking things up, pausing, questioning, and making sense of information as they go. Even as the work moves into digital systems, that instinct to pick up a pen hasn’t gone away. It has just become less visible.

This is our way of bringing that layer back and making the thinking process, not just the outcome, part of what people see.

Rolling Out

You’ll start to see the new logo from now. We’re rolling it out in phases, with both versions existing side by side for a period across product, website, and materials. That’s intentional. It allows for a smooth transition without disrupting the people who rely on Alii day to day.

Because ultimately, that’s what matters. The experience of the people doing the work.

In Simple Terms

This isn’t a rebrand for the sake of it. It’s a reflection of what’s always been true. AP is people, work is people, and when people are better connected, things move.
