From the CEO’s desk: 2022, The year that was

After a tremendous year of growth and milestones at Alii, we can look back on our year with pride. From a growing client base, to securing support of our valued investors, we achieved many successes that will allow us to continue expanding on Alii’s service and offering into 2023.

Join us as we reflect on our achievements and milestones this year.

Our team calculated the following data for Alii usage this year:

  • Minutes of activity - 2,551,320
  • Busiest month - October
  • Most productive day of week - Monday  
  • Integration syncs - 13,434,555
  • Average invoice cost - $3,697

  • Time saved – 18,222,300 minutes – 303,705 hours –12,654 days  

We launched our Product Rebuild

This year, we initiated a project to re-build the entire Alii platform from the ground up to not only provide a great user experience but also provide a solution that will enable us to move into other verticals. This was a huge undertaking by our development team over 4 months with final testing progressing to onboard a number of new clients across April and May. Alongside a refreshed look, the new product capabilities include navigation design and improved user experience and more.

We welcomed clients across multiple states

Underpinned by customer success, we have experienced tremendous growth of our client base this year, welcoming businesses from the education sector, legal sector, enterprises, and non-profit organisations. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new customers and look forward to our continued partnership in 2023 and beyond.  

With a record number of clients from all over Australia, we aim to continue to support and grow our client base in these states as well as expand our services throughout the rest of Australia and New Zealand into 2023. With client growth climbing at a rapid rate, Alii is now used by a record number of users across the country.  

We caught up with our community at conferences across the country

After a couple of years without conferences, we were stoked to be able to meet face-to-face again!

We introduced new integrations and partnerships

We have welcomed new integrations and partnerships to our platform this year and will continue to do so into 2023. We have partnered with new technology and solutions partners Sage and Findex. We continue to work with several service providers including Synergetic, TASS, Xero, MYOB and more, to continue to provide high quality integrations and support to your existing platforms.

We fostered great product and client satisfaction

This year, we implemented many new features in Alii, onboarded several team members, released a new product rebuild and increased customer support which was well received. In all areas of the Alii user base we have received positive reviews. Jan Hurley, Business Manager at Trinity College said,

" The functionality within Alii enabling our department managers to quickly and easily understand their spend improves accountability and budget management. The solution is easy to use and is already providing efficiencies both within our Finance Team and for our department managers. The Alii Team have been great to work with and have been very responsive to our needs. Implementation has been very smooth. "  

We opened our new office in Melbourne

With a growing staff base, we have introduced a new collaborative Melbourne office branch with multiple locations. This has allowed us the room to accommodate fresh and existing staff from the Melbourne team to work from a variety of offices in Melbourne with various amenities such as board room, cafes, desk, and lounge space.  

We offered greater flexibility to staff to manage work-life balance

At Alii, we prioritise the well-being and work life balance of our staff. To do so, we provide our staff with a hybrid working model, with the option to work from home or from a collaborative office space. This work-life balance has been proven to improve staff happiness and productivity. We believe the hybrid model is the way forward for businesses looking to increase staff productivity and satisfaction.

We supported causes we are passionate about

Over the course of 2022, Team Alii supported causes we are passionate about. In March for International Women’s Day we had a female member of our team step up into the CEO role for the week to learn valuable leadership skills. In September we participated in STEPtember raising funds and taking over 2.4 million steps for cerebral palsy awareness and research. We also with the help of our clients supported environmental initiatives through reducing use of paper for procure to pay processes in organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

It has been nothing but short of a fabulous year for the Alii Community, and none of it would have been possible without for the support and assistance of our wonderful customers and our passionate team members.  

As we wrap up the year, we would like to send our best wishes for the festive season and we hope you manage to get a relaxing break.
