Meet Alii's New CEO: Chamil Fernando

Posted Oct 4, 2021

Following a successful Venture Capital Funding of $1.6M, Alii™ is pleased to announce a new CEO to head the innovation, growth and mission of our business.

Chamil Fernando joins the Alii team as our new CEO with a wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise gained from an incredible career across operations, customer success and IT. Previously, Chamil held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Customer Officer at Synergetic – one of Australia’s largest school management software platforms.

Chamil’s passion for customer success paired with his love for technology has allowed him to help many organisations and schools across the APAC region achieve their business goals.

Commencing his appointment, Chamil said he was thrilled to be taking on the role.

“I’m truly excited and honored to be joining Alii to lead the business through to its next chapter. I have seen a major void in the market for a true end to end SaaS accounts payable solution like Alii that can streamline and automate AP operations, reduce paper flow, simplify and integrate complex workflows and approvals, and more importantly prevent invoice fraud which is impacting one in seven businesses. That’s why Alii is uniquely placed to be a disrupter in the market and help our customers succeed and achieve their business goals and objectives.”

This exciting change in leadership is Alii’s next big step to continue to support our clients with their own digital transformation journey’s.

Executive Director, Gordon Tan said, “We are delighted that Chamil has joined us, as he has the right blend of leadership values and passion to take Alii to the next level. Most importantly, he is highly client focused and committed to ensuring that we continue to listen and respond to the needs of our clients.”

The successful raise of funding and the appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Alii and the Board is looking forward to working with Chamil to continue to grow and innovate a product and service that our clients love.
